Since 2007, the World Pediatric Project has been providing medical support to children in the Caribbean region who have treatable conditions, by way of consultation, surgery, specialist after care and therapy.

They will be venturing to Grenada this week.

According to Marva-Primus Joseph, Grenada’s Representative for W.P.P., the organization has been visiting Grenada for nearly 20 years now.

They provide diagnostic general Orthopedics, diagnostic Orthopedic spine, NICU capacity building, cardiology, neurology, Nephrology, plastic surgery, and other services.

Children are identified and evaluated by local pediatricians and physicians and then referred to WPP services.

The children requiring surgical intervention in all pediatric sub-specialties receive care with WPP in St. Vincent.

The referral must be done by a medical practitioner.

Post-operative evaluations, communications, and reports on children from Grenada are facilitated through local pediatricians and specialists who communicate with the WPP Grenada Representative.
