Valene Nedd will participate in the upcoming Queen of Queens Calypso Competition in Montserrat on December 30th.
The competition which began in 2011 has been revived by the Montserrat Arts Council in 2014 and continues to grow as one of the most anticipated shows on the Montserrat festival calendar.
This is the third time a Grenadian will be competing in the Competition.The two previous participants were Laura Lisa Richardson and Ketura George.
Nedd told GBN she’s excited about the show and is looking forward to the new challenge and opportunity to represent the country.
Chief Executive Officer of Spicemas Corporation, Kelvin Jacobs extended best wishes to Nedd. He said SMC will work together with the calypsonian towards the common goal; capturing the title.
The contestants will be required to sing renditions of their choice. Valene will be performing both her songs from the Dimanche Gras competition 2019.
