Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell says he will not pass any law to force people to take a vaccine for covid-19.

Despite so much scepticism about covid vaccines, Grenada, like other countries seems to be heading in that direction.

Its potential to cure or more so prevent the virus still remains unclear.

Grenada’s minister for health, Nickolas Steele during a recent press conference explained Grenada’s position, pending an official declaration on how soon it will be rolled out here.

One of the vaccines that have met approval by the World Health Organization was spoken of by the minister.

The Prime Minister during a media brief last Thursday was asked if vaccination would be mandatory when it reaches our shores.

The PM notes a number of organizations are helping in the process of sourcing vaccines. Government is looking at vaccination by the third quarter of this year.
