The issues facing contract workers within the public sector which resurfaced this week lie not only with the non-payment of the 4 percent increase in salaries.
The recent blow to the pockets of these public servants, many of them being frontline workers; doctors and nurses, is but the icing on the cake.
The crux of the debacle lie with illegality of contract work under the constitution of Grenada and the blatant disregard for the livelihoods these said workers.
