Workers at Diamond Chocolate Factory are now unionized.
Grenada Technical and Allied Workers Union on Tuesday swept the ballot, as a poll was conducted for union representation for the workers.
In the Ministry of Labour conducted poll, 100 percent of the employees who casted their ballot voted in favour of TAWU.
It is the first time Diamond Chocolate Factory workers have a union.
Labour Commissioner Cyrus Griffith was present at the poll, as well as Operations Manager at factory Lindon Harper.
Godwin Thomas and Martin Redhead represented the Union.
TAWU is expected to soon elect a shop steward amongst workers.
Diamond Chocolate Factory is the manufacturer of Grenada’s premiere confectionery – Jouvay Chocolate.
