School re-opens on Monday January 11th but in a phased manner.
The ministry of health has also reverted to the six feet distancing in schools as the covid-19 pandemic continue to force changes to the way we operate
Instead of the usual start to the school term on Monday January 4th 2021, school students have been given one more week at home; however from Monday the 11th, students will return to the classroom but in a phased manner.Plans for student engagement are as follows:
Week 2 – Commencing January 11, 2021
Onsite (face-to-face) instruction for all Exit grades (all schools)
Virtual instruction/packages (for students in all other grades)
Onsite for schools with a very small population and space for adherence to the 6-foot
physical distancing protocol.
Week 3 – Commencing January 18, 2021
Implement school-specific plans which cater for:
Daily onsite (Face to Face) classes for all exit grades.
Maximum possible time onsite for all other grades as space allows (minimum 1 day per
grade level)
School principals and managers are expected to submit their school plans to the ministry of education for consideration by this Friday for implementation by Monday 18th January. The ministry also commits to provide additional cleaners and monitors to support the movement of students on their compounds.
