Twelve companies lost the bid for the Moliniere land slippage restoration project to a construction company out of St. Lucia.
The Moliniere land slippage restoration project has been awarded to an OECS construction company from St Lucia.
In March this year, thirteen companies submitted bids to repair the land slippage area.
Minister for Infrastructure Development Senator Norland Cox says they met with members of the community ahead of the commencement of the project, to keep them up to date.
The Moliniere road has been closed since Monday 16th December 2019.
Entrepreneurs and homeowners were forced to abandon their buildings in the interest of safety as the road gradually caved in.
EC$6.0 million has been budgeted for the project, which, according to Senator Cox, is being funded locally.
