Spicemas corporation is making changes to some of this year’s carnival events to improve safety and co-ordination, among other areas. This was among issues discussed during last evening’s beyond the headlines programme. To reduce overcrowding at this year’s traditional Mas festival in St. Mark, organizers are shifting judging points along the parade route instead of concentrating them at heroes’ square. Chief executive officer of Spicemas corporation, Cecil Noel, said the decision was taken following last year’s overwhelming turnout of spectators and participation of over 20 bands.
