St. Joseph’s Convent St. George’s is the winner of the Integrity Commission’s jingle competition.
The commission hosted the contest as part of the observance of International Anti-Corruption Day. The objective of the competition was to raise awareness among teenagers on the dangers of engaging in corrupt practices and the importance of choosing to live a life of integrity.
The participating schools were J.W. Fletcher Secondary, Beacon High, St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary and St. Joseph’s Convent St. George’s Each school selected a two-member team to work on a 45-second jingle which focused on the theme for the week. They presented their compositions for judging at the Commission’s March and Rally on December 6th, ahead of Anti- Corruption Day on December 9th.
The students performing the winning jingle “Report It” was Avalon Duncan and Lilian Best.
A poster competition was also held in both the primary and secondary schools. The St. Paul’s Government School won the primary category whilst the St Joseph’s Convent St. George’s captured the title in secondary category.
