Information surrounding the shooting of an unidentified male in Fontenoy, St. George this morning remains sketchy.

Police confirmed that an investigation has commenced into a police involved shooting that left a male in his twenties nursing a single gunshot wound, during a police operation conducted.

Answers to questions about the nature of the police operation, the extent of the victim’s injury and what led the incident are still to be answered.

The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) says it is committed to upholding an impartial and transparent investigation into this incident. GBN will continue to follow this story.

MEANWHILE

Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department have charged 35 year old Perdmontemps, St. David resident, Ron Simeon, for the death of his brother Vaughn Francis, 48 years, Landscaper of the said address.

Simeon is charged with the offence of Non Capital Murder and will make his first court appearance at the St. David’s Magistrate’s Court on Friday 23rd October, 2020.

Francis’ body was discovered during the morning of October 18th, 2020, lying unresponsive at their home.
