Agriculture senator Roderick St. Clair says there has been a push towards the return of the farm watch program as discussions continue on initiatives to protect farmers and fisher folk as well as their livelihoods.
GBN recently broadcast a story in which an elderly farmer from Mt Horne was viciously attacked on his farm.
While condemning such acts, the senator says there is a need to fast-track the consultation into implementation.
