Work is nearing completion for two schools in the big parish, to ensure that all students will be accommodated for the new school year scheduled to begin September 2nd.

At the beginning of the third semester students at the St Andrew’s Methodist School were asked to remain at home due to structural issues to the building, which posed a threat to both the staff and student body.

Today, intense work is ongoing with a 9am to 11pm shift which will result in hastening the process to have both the St Andrew’s Methodist School and the Grenville Secondary School ready in nine days to meet the September 2nd deadline.

Contractor for both schools Neville Matthew, is hopeful that the work will be completed in the coming days.
