The actions of human beings and climate change continue to have a detrimental effect on the marine areas in the Caribbean.
As a result, several islands have implemented marine protected areas within their waters to protect the flora and fauna which contribute to our ecosystem.
The sandy island/oyster bed marine protected area in Carriacou is no exception.
