The Rastafarian community is rallying its membership to get Caribbean leaders to realize the economic and health benefits of cannabis.

Bongo Wiseley Tafari, chairman of the Caribbean Rastafari organization spoke with GBN, following a three day visit by a delegation from the organization.

As advocacy continues towards the decimalization of Cannabis, one Rastafarian organization is reporting some positive achievements.

Bongo Wisely Tafari, chairman of the Caribbean Rastafari Organization says some Caribbean leaders are now offering land space for the Cultivation of the herb.

He says before full legalization or decimalization of cannabis, regulations must be in place.

Tafari says there’s more to the herb than just smoking.

Bongo Wisely explained in detail the areas that was explored during their visit to Grenada.

One of their successes on the mission was the reactivation of the ROC and putting an interim committee in place, which is tasked with the responsibility of mobilizing all Rasta in Grenada.

The Caribbean Rastafari Organization has been in existence since 1998, with Grenada becoming a member in 2017.
