The country’s newest hotel, Six Senses Resort, to be constructed in St David, is a project under the Citizenship By Investment programme.
Managing Director and Board Member of the developers Range Developments, Mohammed Asaria, said that he is a product of the CBI having come from a family of Ugandan refugees.
He was speaking at the official launch of the project on Friday, in a ceremony at Silver Sands Resorts in Grand Anse, another CBI project.
Mr Asaria says the programme provides opportunities for both the investor and the country.
Asaria said that with recent changes to Grenada’s CBI programme, the country can generate millions of dollars annually.
Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr Keith Mitchell said that local investors are also a motivating factor for foreign investors.
Prime Minister Mitchell says that one of the biggest positives for Grenada is that the country remains one of the safest in the world.
