President of the Grenada union of teachers, Jude Bartholomew says government’s response to the high court’s pension issue will be a test on the ruling government
He said their decision will tell if government is laying a good foundation for young people in Grenada
President of the Grenada Union of Teachers, Jude Bartholomew is calling on Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell to keep his promise to public officers as the High Court handed down judgment on the pension issue in favour of public officers
Bartholomew told GBN it’s now a wait-and-see moment for how the ruling administration will respond to the judgment.
The Gut leader said Tuesday’s judgment marks a day of celebration for public officers throughout the country.
He acknowledged the presence of God as being pivotal in bringing justice to public officers.
When asked about quantifying the amount of money government will have to pay for pension Bartholomew said his focus is now on enjoying that long-awaited moment.
