After years of pleas made on behalf of dismissed Cabinet Secretary Mrs. Gemma Bain Thomas, government has begun to make good on its responsibility to her as ordered by the High Court judgement.
Attorney General, Dia Forrester has made the first payment to Mrs. Bain Thomas as confirmed by her lawyer Mr. Nazim Burke who said she is pleased that government has made the right move.
Government is still owing the substantial judgement of $656,000; having now paid the secondary court judgement of $75,000 to Mrs. Bain Thomas for vindicatory damages.
He said that what his client is now seeking is an agreement on payment for the outstanding sum.
