Under its universal funds, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission NTRC donated over 50 ICT devices to GRENCODA.

The devices will be used to assist disadvantaged youths in various communities to ensure that information and communication are available through technology for everyone.

Coordinator of NTRC Lawrence Samuel says this is just the first of many to come.

GRENCODA aim is to provide guidance and support to rural individuals, families, and communities to improve their quality of life, through community-based initiatives.

To date, they have targeted two thousand plus students with a current membership of 175 persons.

Deputy Secretary-General of GRENCODA Benny Langaigne says the contributions made by NTRC will be properly utilized by youths under their Students’ assistance program.
