No date has been set as yet for the National Democratic Congress’ convention.

This was revealed by interim leader Joseph Andall on Thursday, when the party staged a silent protest against corruption in St George’s.

Political parties usually hold conventions to elect an executive, and a political leader is usually selected as well.

It was widely speculated that the NDC would hold its convention in November, but Andall would confirm neither date nor month.

He says not much can be relayed at this point except that they are in the planning stages.

NDC supporters with placards assembled on Melville Street in the vicinity of the Esplanade Mall St. George’s for the protest.

Andall says their action is in the interest of all Grenadians and is not about political affiliation.

Plans are to continue this action until what they refer to as justice is served.

Their next port of call will be announced as soon as plans are finalised, Andall says.
