Three mothers ushered in the new year with the arrivals of their new bundles of joy.

A pair of sisters made the welcome much brighter as they extended gift baskets to the mothers.

At 5:17 am on Friday Alexia became the first baby to be born in Grenada in 2021.

A baby boy Tyler followed at 1:48 p.m. and another baby boy Zaden, at 9:50 p.m.; all on January 1st 2021.

Irva Coutain-Ross and Eva Coutain of Xpression Salon visited the General Hospital on the weekend, bringing large gift baskets of newborn clothing and other items for the mothers who delivered on January 1st, 2021.

Coutain-Ross told GBN given the COVID19 pandemic and its impact not only on the healthcare system but on families’ ability to provide for themselves, the sisters thought it was meaningful to provide tokens to the mothers of the New Year Babies.

Coutain-Ross said for the last 6 years she and her twin sister have donated to different sectors of society and this year decided to donate to the General Hospital for the first time.

According to the Government Information Services, Dr. Carol Mc Intosh and team at the General Hospital are appreciative of the show of support for patients at the hospital.
