The opening of the 2019/2020 GFA season is now set for Saturday 31st August.
The schedule opening was originally set for last weekend at the Kirani James Athletics Stadium..
Among the highlight of the new season is the increase in the prize money in the premiere from 59 thousand to 100 thousand dollars.
Competitions officer Bruce Swan says the plan is to make the league more competitive.
