Ron Redhead served in the Senate as a representative for the National Democratic Congress party following the 2018 General Election in which the New National Party won all 15 seats. He was one of three individuals appointed by Governor-General Dame Cecile La Grenade. His tenure in the Senate ended after Parliamentary Representative for St. George North East, Tobias Clement resigned on November 20th, 2019, and crossed the floor to become the Opposition Leader in April of 2020.

Now as preparation for the upcoming general elections constitutionally due in 2023 picks up speed, Redhead is the elected NDC Caretaker to contest the elections for the St. George North East Constituency; and he has laid out some of the plans an NDC elected government will focus on. Youths take center stage.

Redhead promises a government that will end the dependency syndrome by providing opportunities for the nation’s people with emphasis on the youth.
