Technical, Vocational and Educational Training Enhancement Programme receives a boost

The donation of new equipment is intended to help foster skills training among primary and secondary school students. Six months ago, Government launched the Technical, Vocational and Educational Training Enhancement (TVET) programme, under the theme: TVET: “Essential skills fostering inclusion, lifelong learning, and National Development”.

This latest move by the ministry of education has furnished Eleven (TVET) centers across the island with new equipment.

During the handing over of the equipment to teachers of both Primary and Secondary schools, minister for education David Andrew said, government’s main focus will be on skills development, to cater to the requirements of the labour market.

The education minister also indicated that there are plans for the expansion of the New Life Organization (NewLO)

Permanent secretary within the ministry of education, Elvis Morain pledged the ministry’s support towards further development of the TVET programme.
