Former opposition leader Michael Baptiste is calling on the Grenada bar association to intervene and assist people affected by the recent covid cluster at sandals resort in taking legal action against the international famed hotel and the government of Grenada.

Baptiste who is very outspoken is blaming both government and the resort for what he claims is negligence.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, so says Michael Baptiste former opposition leader.

He blames government and the ministry of health of setting double standards as it relates to covid protocols.

He outlined the procedure for returning nationals on entrance into the country while according to him persons booked for Sandals does not go through the same procedure.

Baptiste who came from abroad on Saturday, spoke to GBN via zoom from his home quarantine noting strongly that Grenadians should not be blamed for the present situation.

From the cluster of thirty covid cases, thirteen people in one household have tested positive.

Baptiste begs the indulgence of the Grenada Bar Association to intervene and offer their legal assistance.

He chastised Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell for his failure to apologize to infected workers and their families.
