In the last episode of ECCB Digital Dialogues which aired last Thursday, the Pandemic and Regional Air Transport were the topics of discussion by key regional figures.
LIAT’s inability to pay its debts, leading to the Board of Directors’ recommendation that the airline be liquidated, was also reviewed which laid the way for the debate on the wider issue of the future of regional travel.
The challenges and hindrances to cheaper and simpler regional travel was one of the important factors looked at.
