Improved healthcare services are a top transformational agenda for the new NDC administration, and Carriacou and Petite Martinique are not being left out of the development process.

Residents of Carriacou and Petite Martinique can expect to see an enhancement not only in their healthcare facilities but also in the delivery of health services on the island.

In order to address the lack of proper dental equipment at the Hillsborough Smart Health Centre, Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, Tevin Andrews, says that in a couple of weeks, new dental equipment will be installed in both Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

He says the long-term goal is to transform the Petite Martinique-based facility into a poly-clinic.

The minister was part of a delegation touring five district clinics and the lone hospital on the island. The delegation visited for two days and was led by Minister for Health, Wellness and Religious Affairs, Senator Johnathan La Crette.

The Health Minister says Healthcare issues identified will be prioritized and addressed in a systematic manner.
