The official launch of ‘Grenada Shifts’ was held on Thursday at the La Sagesse playing field St. David.
The walker size begun at the Belle Vue Medical Station in St. David and climaxed at the La Sagesse playing field.
Permanent Secretary in the Health and Wellness Ministry Kevin Andall explained that ‘Grenada Shifts’ is geared towards getting people in the various parishes up and moving.
A health fair preceded the walk, where some attendees received health checks and obtained information on health care.
Staff Nurse Renatta Francis Lessey at the Mt. Gay Mental facility encouraged people to educate themselves on mental illness.
The Grenada Shifts Torch was handed over from St David to St. Andrew where the next activity will take place.
Its carded for April 20th and will be followed by St. Patrick and then the sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
