Grenada recorded its 5th road fatality for the year on Friday May 10, 2019.
Dead is 78 year old Sylvan Garraway of Spring St. George, a pedestrian who was reportedly knocked down by a motorbike while attempting to cross the road.
According to police, the fatal accident occurred about a quarter to six on Friday morning, in the Calliste area, in the vicinity of Fox Inn.
The bike involved in the incident, P1389, was driven by 54 year old Augustus Cadore of Radix, St. Georges.
Mr. Cadore was taken to the General Hospital, having sustained minor injuries to his face.
Mr. Garraway was pronounced dead on scene.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
