The Cape preliminary results for the May/June cxc cape examination showed that of the 324 candidates who registered to write the exam, 255 candidates were females and 69 candidates were males.

The overall percentage pass rate from grades 1-5 was 91.43% of which there were 90 grade 1s, 134 grade 2s, 181 grade 3s,129 grade 4s and 63 grade 5s. On the lower end of the spectrum, there were 42 grade 6s, eight grade 7s and 206 were ungraded or absent.

The largest entries were in Pure mathematics unit one 67 entries, management of business unit 1 61 entries, communication studies 54 entries, pure mathematics unit 2 53 entries and chemistry unit 1 51 entries.

Unit 1 had a pass rate of 90.24% in contrast, unit 2 had a higher pass rate of 92.18% respectively.

The CSEC preliminary results showed that of 2471 candidates who wrote the exam 1569 were females and 902 were males; 2335 were attending school while 146 were private candidates.

The largest entries were in Mathematics 1655, English A 1580, Social Studies 697, Principles of Business 676 and Information Technology 554. The lowest entries were in Music 1, Industrial technology mechanical 8, Theatre arts 32, religious education 33 and Additional mathematics 53.  The overall percentage pass rate was 76.3%. In the CSEC exam it was noted that there were 1615 grade 1s , 3023 grade 2s, 3440 grade 3s,2293 grade 4s, 801 grade 5s, 11 grade 6s and on the lower end of the spectrum there were 1049 ungraded, absent or deferred.

It is noteworthy to mention, that Grenada when compared to the rest of the region, still continues to dominate in the pure sciences of biology, chemistry and physics from the period of 2020 -2022 respectively.
