Minister for trade and consumer affairs Alvin Da Breo confirmed to GBN that the government was notified of the Caribbean Agro Industries’ decision to go ahead with the price increases for flour and animal feed since last week.
He says the government met with officials from the company on Friday.
Minister Da Breo says he responded to Caribbean agro, stating that it is not in the best interest of the government or the country to have any form of a price increase.
