Grenada’s Akilah James lost her first round women’s singles tennis match at the 18th PAN AM in Lima Peru.
She went down to Peruvian Dominique Scharffer (7-5) (7-5).
A 14 member team has been selected to represent Grenada.
Kanika Beckles will do the double, running in the 200 and 400 meters. Halle Hazzard will also double in the one and the two hundred meters.
Also on the squad are brothers Lindon,Victor and Kurt Felix in the Decat.
Bralon taplin in the 400 while Anderson Peters and Markim will compete in the Javlin.
Josh Boteng competes in the Discus.
The rest of the team includes swimmers Delron Felix and Kimberly Ince.
