A fire has destroyed at least four buildings within the town of St George earlier today.
Reports of a fire engulfing several buildings from around 4am set social media ablaze, with the pictures showing the buildings fully in flames and first responders just arriving on the scene.
The fire occurred opposite the La Purcell Paint Shop and Colour Centre on Grenville Street.
Officers attached to the Fire Department as well as employees of the Grenada Electricity Services Ltd remain on the scene.
Scores of onlookers are also at the scene getting a firsthand look at the situation.

So far what we can tell you is that four buildings were destroyed. These include Dr Terrence Marryshow’s medical office, the outlet that sells Grenada Independence clothing and accessories, a bakery and an electrical repair shop.
