Eighteen police officers have tested positive for covid19.
This was revealed by the commissioner of police Edvin Martin during a press briefing on Monday.
The officers are a part of the current outbreak of the virus with over 150 active local cases.
Commissioner Martin says the cases are scattered among the members of the force, adding that the central division recorded the highest number of positive cases.
The top cop says vaccination for the rank and file of the force has been high on the agenda, as it is seen as a means of creating herd immunity among the officers.
