What was once a habitat for rodents will soon be gone.  results of a survey done in the four roads area will see the end to a concrete bin in that vicinity.

The demolition crew from the Solid Waste Management Authority will be out in full force in the coming week.

One area targeted is the concrete receptacle on four roads in the town of St. George.

About two weeks ago a garbage pile that has become the breathing ground for rodents had residents complaining, fearing that their homes will be invaded.

Myrna Julien Communications officer at the GSWMA promised they will address the situation.

Mrs. Julien is encouraging home owners to comply with the procedures for the disposal of regular household waste. Collection will take place every day twice per day between the hours 6 am and again at 7 pm.

The GWSMA advises that at present there have been some operational changes at the Perseverance landfill.

The authority informs that the weighbridge is temporarily out of commission.
