Cuba ambassador to Grenada joins minister for agriculture Peter David on his engagement with farmers in St. David.

A meeting with farmers in the village of Requin in St. David has begun the process to improve bilateral relations between the Governments of Grenada and Cuba.

Minister for Agriculture, Peter David together with Cuban Ambassador to Grenada Luis Ernesto Morejón Rodríguez, and extension officers attached to the Southern Agricultural District, dialogued with farmers there.

The visit was a continuation of the Agriculture Minister’s scheduled meet and greets with farmers across the country.

Ambassador Rodriguez explains that his visit to the farm is important, as this will allow for a better understanding of how both countries can collaborate to develop Agriculture.

The area visited serves approximately 35 farmers, whose main concerns surround proper road access and irrigation.

Farmers, Damion Williams and Jonas Williams said they’re a bit more empowered now that the minister has visited their farms.
