Minister for Agriculture Peter David says despite the 90-day period for consultation with the public and other stakeholders having elapsed, since the Drug Abuse [Prevention and Control] Amendment Bill had its first reading, the process is not yet over.

Minister David says invitations to various stakeholders were sent out to engage in consultations or responses on the decriminalization of marijuana.

He adds that together with the minister of health and the attorney general, the ministry of agriculture will compile the data received after the final consultation on Friday.
