The Belmont estate together with a number of environmental organizations have partnered for the third consecutive year to ensure the successful execution of the annual bird festival.
General Manager of Belmont estate, Paula Lewis said the estate has pride itself with its sustainable development policy and activities like the bird festival is in keeping with this policy.
Lewis said the response from the public from previous years has been favorable; however, she is calling for more adult participation.
Visitors who are interested in the activities on February 20th and 21st are asked to book with Belmont Estate.
February 22nd will be a special day for primary schools, featuring fun learning activities about Grenada’s birds.
Other partners in the Bird Festival initiative includes local environmental organizations GAEA Conservation Network and conservation experts from the University of Manitoba in Canada.
