Increase fluid intake and avoid exposure to hot temperatures. medical doctor Francis Martin advises people on how to treat with the heat.

This summer is the hottest on record in Europe, according to data from EU satellite monitoring.

A series of extreme heatwaves and a long-running drought saw June, July, and August shatter the previous high mark for temperature.

Even though we are in what is traditionally considered the rainy season, this past few weeks we have been experiencing extremely high temperatures.

Medical Professional Dr. Francis Martin highlighted the people who are most likely to be affected.

Doctor Martin is advising people to keep hydrated by increasing their fluid intake especially water and minerals, avoid long exposure to hot temperatures as much as possible, and carry umbrellas when venturing out.

A word of caution for people who may have underlying conditions.
