Its 11 days into the New Year and Grenada recorded its second serious motorcycle accident.

Monday’s crash on the Cherry hill roadway brought the number of incidents between Friday and today to 11.

A 32 year old male of Darbeau St. George is nursing injuries following a motorcycle accident Monday morning at Cherry hill in St. George.

Police say they are still investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the crash which left the cyclists nursing multiple wounds.

This has brought the number of serious motorcycle related accidents to two for the year thus far.

This morning’s episode follows another bike accident on new years day at Bathway St. Patrick in which a rider suffered major injuries. His leg was almost severed.

That biker from Gouyave estate St. John’s was flown out of the island for medical care.

Over the weekend 10 minor accidents were also recorded in various parts of the island. Police continue to urge the public to be careful when traversing the nation’s roads.
