Former Chairman of the Grenada Tourism Authority Barry Collymore expresses concern over the downward spiral in regional travel.

He believes it’s about time the issue of Regional airlift be taken more seriously.

Collymore pointed out in an exclusive interview with GBN, that over time people are traveling less within the region due to high ticket prices and taxes.

He notes that Grenada is in a fortunate position, in terms of the number of visitors to the island, especially from the US and UK markets.

He says this is testament to the work put in by members of the GTA and other stakeholders in showcasing Grenada to the world.

Collymore says he has some recommendations.

Another recommendation he highlights is that Government should consider a one Caribbean destination.
