Law enforcement officers have laid additional gun-related charges against St. George’s businessman Von Cyrus, who was arrested and charged last month in connection with a near fatal shooting incident in the south the island.

Weeks after being denied bail and remanded to the Richmond Hill Prison on a slew of gun-related charges, in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at Mt.Toute in Grand Anse on Independence Day, 27-year-old businessman Von Cyrus finds himself facing additional gun-related charges in connection with another shooting incident that occurred in the nearby Wall Street area on the same day.

On February 13, Chief Magistrate Teddy St. Louis remanded the resident of The Carenage St. George on Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm and ammunition, discharging a firearm and damage to property.

According to communication obtained from the Community Relations Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force on Monday, investigations into the near fatal incident on Wall Street has resulted in Cyrus being slapped with additional charges for Attempted non-Capital Murder, Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.

The Carenage man was brought before the St George’s #1 Magistrate’s Court last week Friday and was further remanded to His Majesty’s Prison until April 6, 2023.
