Antigua Commercial Bank ltd (ACB) established its third branch in Grenada following the acquisition of assets of RBC\RBTT Grenada in April 2021 at its location on Wall Street Grand Anse St. George.

Sunday saw the opening of the Banks’ third branch in Grenada on Melville Street in the former NIS building.

Finance minister Gregory Bowen addressing the opening ceremony of the Antigua Commercial Bank Grenada, reiterated the importance of building resilience of the financial system in Grenada and the wider region.

The finance minister noted that Grenada, like the rest of the region, is concerned about the impact such loss can have on the financial sector.

Minister Bowen indicated that his government is committed to creating an environment that is favorable to allow all financial intermediaries to compete fairly on the local market, while at the same time providing cost-effective service to the general public.

Managing director of ACB Caribbean Group Joanna Charles states that while the bank’s strategic intent is to become digital, they felt the two existing physical locations did not provide enough access to customers.

Charles adds that with the opening of their third location in Grenada they are pleased to have their presence in the capital city where they will offer convenient and accessible banking to the wider community.
