A male group from St. Lucia is boasting of the positive outcome of their trip to Grenada.

The young men are from the Boys Training Center, a government run rehabilitation center in St. Lucia for boys in need of care and those in conflict with the law.

The group arrived on island last Thursday to participate in the Caribbean Childrens’ Charity Shield Soccer Classic Tournament.

Their stories are all different, but at some point each of these young men fell on the wrong side of the law.

Today they are on a mission to get back on the right side and once again contribute positively to their communities.

They say coming to Grenada has brought positive transformation to their lives.

Coach Alvin Augustine Xavier has been working with the boys for the past nine years.

The tournament is just one aspect of their rehabilitation, he says, and he is already seeing the changes.

He promises to give back to the community before they leave and to return in the not too distant future.
