Police Looking Horns and Lights

Buses with high decibel horns will soon be the target of police attention. This the Royal Grenada Police Force says this will form part of its yuletide operation.

The traffic department says in the coming weeks it will be cracking down on buses using high decibel vacuum horns.

This they say is in response to rising public complaints.

A few years ago, the police embarked on a similar initiative where bus horns were removed from vehicles at the St George’s bus terminus.

The police say the move is as a result of the noise pollution created by buses and other commercial vehicles, which commuters complain has turned into an irritating phenomena, besides being a major psychological health hazard.

They are also looking into unauthorized lights, particularly the halogen bulbs.

The lawmen are advising vehicles owners who carry the Pressure horns to remove all them immediately, before the operation begins.
